Position Summary: The Principal Data Scientist at CVS Health
spearheads innovative strategies, leveraging advanced analytics and
consultative problem-solving to drive incremental membership and
margin for Aetna and Caremark in the dynamic landscape of the
Healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sectors.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including
product-pricing, sales, campaign operations, digital marketing
analytics, and data growth analytics colleagues, this role ensures
a cohesive and synergistic approach to achieving overarching growth
objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Develop evidence based B2B and B2C marketing strategies and models
to drive customer acquisition, retention, and maximize ROI in
collaboration with Healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
business leaders.
Attend stakeholder meetings to discuss analytics implementation and
maintain strong relationships.
Provide updates on ongoing projects and gather feedback for
continuous improvement.
Engage in collaborative discussions with product-pricing, sales,
campaign operations, digital marketing analytics, and data growth
analytics teams.
Review current analytics trends and industry developments. Focus on
addressing unresolved challenges and driving analytical innovation
within the healthcare and PBM sectors.
Prototype and test new models or approach to enhance growth
strategies.
Creation of models such as Segmentation, LTV, Marketing Mix,
Survival, and propensity models.Implementation of A/B testing and
experimental design with Impact measurement/tracking.
Dive into the development and refinement of evidence based B2B and
B2C marketing models.Leverage advanced analytics techniques to
enhance customer acquisition, retention, and ROI strategies.
Development of dashboards and self-service visualization tools to
facilitate data-driven decision-making.Drive analytical innovation
to address unresolved challenges.
Share insights and align strategies for ongoing projects.Ensure the
tools enable cross-functional teams to access and interpret key
insights easily.
Conduct training sessions for team members, sharing insights and
best practices.Offer mentorship to junior analysts to contribute to
their professional development.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of analytically driven experience in B2B and/or B2C
marketing and/or growth strategy.
7+ years of recent hands-on modeling experience using statistical
(frequentist and/or Bayesian), machine learning, or deep learning
methods. Use cases include multi-touch attribution (MTA), marketing
mix models (MMM), and/or customer segmentation.
7+ years of programming experience with Python or R, SQL, Tableau
(or similar visualization tools).
3+ years of experience in automated dashboarding (Shiny, D3), BOT
automation (chats, teams, apps).
Preferred Qualifications:
10 + years of experience building a variety of models solving for
use cases in commercial health insurance in a marketing/growth
context
Strong understanding and practical experience in various types of
AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and other emerging
AI technologies relevant to growth analytics in the healthcare
space.
Very strong stakeholder management skills and ability to take data
to impactful insights
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or quantitative field, or an
equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual
full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which
this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a
variety of factors including experience, education, geography and
other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health
bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to
the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an
award target in the company's equity award program. In addition to
