Job Description:

The Senior Accountant will be involved in full-cycle accounting activities from daily financial operations to financial reporting and analysis, . The position will report to the Controller and assist in the month-end financial close and preparation of consolidated financial statements. The candidate will also assist the CFO and Controller in ad hoc projects.This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking professional development in a high-growth, private-equity backed venture. Specific duties include:

• Processing financial transactions and general-ledger account maintenance to ensure compliance with GAAP, which will include key spreadsheet and system reconciliations.
• Daily bank deposits and reconciliations.
• Assist accounts payable in proper GL coding of vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Responsible for timely compilation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Involvement in the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process with responsibility over specific close activities such as: Financial-close analyses, including; Monthly trending analysis at an entity level, Rate/volume analysis, Budget-to-actual variance analysis, Reconciliation of multiple intercompany accounts, Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, Preparation of various account analyses to support financial statement reviews, Creation/reconciliation of fixed assets and depreciation in sub-ledger system.
• Assist in Billing and Accounts Payable processing.
• Assist with annual financial statement audit.
• Assist in transition to NetSuite ERP
• Assist Controller with ad-hoc accounting requests Requirements:
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of NetSuite would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Responsible, dependable and organized work habits
  • CPA or CPA track a plusRequired Education--- B.S. Degree in Accounting
