Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in tax review and general accounting oversight to join a growing team that prioritizes accuracy, accountability, and sound professional judgment. This role is designed for someone who has moved beyond primary tax preparation and is comfortable reviewing, refining, and signing off on work prepared by others. The position offers meaningful responsibility, client interaction, and a clear path for long-term advancement. Key Responsibilities Review federal and state tax returns for individuals and business entities, including 1040, 1120, and 1065 filings, prepared by staff and junior accountants. Identify errors, inconsistencies, and compliance risks, and provide clear guidance and feedback to preparers. Oversee the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and supporting schedules prior to submission. Serve as a technical resource on tax matters, including interpretation of regulations and application of accounting standards. Participate in audit, review, and compilation engagements with a focus on quality control and final deliverables. Collaborate with partners and managers to ensure timely completion of client work and adherence to firm standards. Support client communications related to reviewed work, questions, and follow-up items. Qualifications 4 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated responsibility for reviewing tax returns and financial work. Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance for individuals and closely held businesses. Prior experience reviewing work prepared by others in a public accounting environment. Experience with GO System Tax and/or UltraTax is a plus. CPA strongly preferred. High attention to detail with the ability to exercise sound professional judgment. Proven ability to manage deadlines while overseeing multiple engagements. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
