Job Description:

The Associate Product Manager supports the IFL Business Unit with the primary focus on the Industrial Fluids and Lubricants Industry to aid in the development of our FOAM BAN product line. The Associate Product Manager works closely with colleagues in our Bloomfield, NJ office, our Manufacturing Plants in Clover, SC and other Global sites. The Associate Product Manager will be expected to provide support in, but not limited to, the following areas. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Review and advise the Product Manager throughout the product lifecycle - R&D, Commercial, Manufacturing Scale up to withdrawal
• Maintain close working relationship with IFL commercial and technical teams. ? Utilize financial acumen/analysis and business sense to manage new product pricing, price requests and price strategies
• Responsible for assisting in managing Profit & Loss (P&L) of the assigned products and product groups
• Interface with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to support maintenance of material master data in SAP, Specification revisions of finished products with QC/QA, and material planning process.
• In conjunction with PM, establish guidelines for MTI/MTO, reorder points, safety stock levels, aged/hold inventory, and other areas
• Work with the Technical and Marketing teams to create and update marketing tools such as technical data sheets and technical promotion materials (flyers, brochures, webinars)
• Manage the customer complaint process (evaluate and improve workflows)
• Support the Sales Team with key strategic customers and support the BU as needed to develop and grow the business (identify sales leads based on existing customers and market analysis)
• Support the Regulatory group by reviewing SDS documents and other regulations (SVHC, labeling, ---) when changes are instituted. Provide summary and analysis of changes to Product Manager. REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience/Travel
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience in Technical, Chemical Sales, or Product Management. Previous chemical experience, specifically with performance chemical additives
  • Preferred Markets Served - EV, Industrial Fluids, Metalworking, Lubricants, Antifreeze, HI&I. Experience in the specialty additives area is a plus.
