Governance LeadRole Overview:As the Data Strategy and Governance
Lead at Blackstone, you will architect and implement a data
strategy and governance framework that enhances our capabilities
across Private Corporate Credit, while also catering to the needs
of our insurance sector clients. Your role is crucial in ensuring
data integrity, compliance, and in fostering a data-driven culture
that aligns with our strategic objectives in these specialized
financial markets. The ideal candidate for this role will bring a
profound understanding of the complexities associated with leverage
facility management and sponsor coverage in private deals,
essential for navigating the specialized data governance and
management landscape of the private credit sector. Your expertise
will be pivotal in driving compliance, risk management, and
informed decision-making. The role will be critical in leveraging
data to enhance our operational efficiency, ensure regulatory
compliance, and manage risks, thereby supporting our commitment to
delivering exceptional value to our investors and stakeholders in a
competitive financial landscape.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a cohesive data strategy that integrates with the data
strategy, focusing on enhancing data capabilities and supporting
growth across financial sectors.
- Design and implement a scalable data architecture that ensures
efficient data management and enables advanced analytics and
business intelligence.
- Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework,
setting standards for data quality, security, and privacy in
accordance with industry regulations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the assessment and optimization
of current data systems, driving improvements and the adoption of
new technologies.
- Monitor data governance practices and performance, ensuring
compliance and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, analytics, compliance,
and business units to foster a culture of data-driven
decision-making and accountability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to
ensure the company's data strategy and governance remain ahead of
the curve.Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in data strategy, architecture, and
governance, with a strong preference for candidates with a
background in the financial services industry.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in data management, big data technologies, cloud
solutions, and analytics platforms, with the ability to apply these
tools to support strategic business objectives.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage complex
projects and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and
influence stakeholders at all levels and to articulate complex data
strategies in a clear and impactful manner.
- SQL and Python skillset a major plus.
- Knowledge of direct lending practices and the role of private
financing solutions for companies.
- Insight into the nuances of Senior Direct Lending and
Opportunistic Credit and their implications for data strategy and

salary range: $165,000 - $275,000Actual base salary within that
range will be determined by several components including but not
limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and
