Job Description:

We are seeking a Full Time Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice in Bloomfield, NJ.

Active NJ X-Ray/Radiology License Required
Minimum one year experience.

Skills/Qualifications:
Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred
Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

Experience with electronic health record systems

Responsibilities:
Assist the doctor and/or hygienist, with dental procedures
Assure that all examination rooms are cleaned, fully stocked and ready for the next patient
Perform radiographs and necessary clinical procedures as directed by the Dentist
Clean, sterilize and prepare the equipment and operatory, per OSHA and office guidelines, prior to and after a patient's appointment
Provide necessary patient instructions and address questions/concerns when necessary
Discharge the patient upon completion of the visit
Perform other tasks as assigned
Demonstrate teamwork to deliver an extraordinary experience for every patient
Track the incoming and outgoing lab cases
Monitor the level of dental supplies and order, within office guidelines
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
Follow the organization's safety policies and procedures
