NICU RN Job Details - Location: Montclair, NJ 07042 (New Jersey healthcare jobs) - Facility Setting: Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Night Shift - Start Date: November 3, 2025 - End Date: February 2, 2026 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks - Shift Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) - Total Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470 - $1570 per week - Charting System: EPIC - Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided - Orientation: 32 hours onsite - First-Time Travel Nurses: Welcome to apply NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of recent NICU RN experience in a Level III or IV setting - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey or compact state) - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification – required - Experience with EPIC charting system preferred - Proficient in arterial line management, central line care, neonatal dosage calculations, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and feeding techniques (bottle, breast, gavage) - Ability to care for neonates 29-34 weeks and manage complex NICU Level III/IV cases - Travel nurses only – locals within 50 miles not eligible NICU RN Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU environment - Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial and central lines, and specialized feeding tubes - Implement isolation precautions and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) cases - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services - Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records - Participate in scheduled night shifts and weekend coverage as required - Engage in ongoing professional development and complete required orientation modules Apply now to join our dedicated NICU nursing team in Montclair, NJ, and make a difference in neonatal healthcare!
