Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Paramus, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,598 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Paramus, New Jersey, 07652! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience License: Current NJ or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with post cardiac catheterization groin management - Ability to read cardiac telemetry strips - Ability to hang cardiac drips - Must be able to float to the stepdown unit attached to cardiac telemetry Description: Local candidates are considered within a 75-mile radius of the facility. COVID vaccinations and boosters are required with no exemptions. Candidates who can start on or before the specified date will receive priority consideration. Familiarity with the care of post-cardiac catheterization patients is essential. Candidates must confirm their experience managing groin sites after procedures. Staffing may include responsibilities for telemetry and stepdown patients. Expectations include floating within the facility only. The patient ratio for stepdown patients may reach 1:4, while telemetry patients may range from 1:6 to 1:7. Experience with bedside cardioversion is preferred. Management of cardiac drips, including cardizem and amiodarone, is a requirement. Candidates will work with a variety of interdisciplinary support teams. Responsibilities may include managing post-procedure patients and administering blood products. All candidates are required to pass a basic arrhythmia exam during orientation. Candidates must initiate and monitor vasoactive drips without titration. This position involves caring for adults and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The daily census in the unit averages 36 patients.
