Job Details Estimated Weekly Pay: $9,030 - $9,520 per week Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract position) — Locum Anesthesiologist / Anesthesiology locum Location: White Plains, NY 10601 — Westchester County, New York (commutable to Manhattan) Start Date: June 4, 2025 End Date: December 31, 2026 Duration: Minimum 20 weeks, with potential for extension Shifts per Week: 4 (32 hours/week) Shift Duration: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) On-Call: Not required Charting System: Epic (electronic medical records experience preferred) Number of Anesthesia Rooms: 41 CRNA Supervision: Yes (3:1 CRNA to MD ratio); MDs also perform their own cases Case Types: General anesthesia only (no trauma, transplant, cardiac, or pediatrics) Job Requirements Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited college of medicine Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology Current, unrestricted New York physician license (must be obtained prior to start) ECFMG and FLEX if applicable for international graduates BLS certification required by September 8, 2025 At least 1 year of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist, preferably in a high-volume OR setting Board certification or fellowship preferred but not required Responsibilities Provide safe, effective perioperative medical management for patients undergoing general anesthesia Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain and verify patient consent, and review medical histories Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and management plans with patients and surgical teams Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia while monitoring physiologic status Perform clinical interventions as needed during perioperative care and ensure adherence to best practices Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and perioperative nursing staff; support team-based anesthesia care Document care accurately in Epic and ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality metrics, and state regulations Why White Plains?
