Senior Lead Architect (Business Architect) at JPMorganChase within
Asset and Wealth Management, you will support a critical Agentic AI
program that is transformational to the Global Private Bank. In
this pivotal role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between
business vision and technology execution, defining how AI-powered
capabilities will reshape the bank’s operating model, client
journeys, and value delivery across the wealth management
ecosystem. Your deep expertise in business architecture principles,
wealth management operations, and emerging AI technologies will be
essential for designing target-state business models that unlock
new sources of competitive advantage. Leveraging strong analytical
reasoning and systems thinking, you will translate complex business
strategies into actionable capability roadmaps, ensuring that AI
investments deliver measurable business outcomes. With superior
communication and stakeholder alignment abilities, you will build
consensus across business and technology leadership, influence
strategic direction, and drive successful transformation. As a
subject matter expert, you will define business capability
frameworks, value streams, and operating model blueprints that
guide the integration of agentic AI across the Global Private Bank.
Job Responsibilities Define and articulate the target-state
business architecture for AI-enabled wealth management, including
capability maps, value streams, and operating model blueprints that
align with the Global Private Bank's strategic objectives. Drive
large-scale, comprehensive functional solutions that align key
business functions across multiple lines of business to unified
platform strategies, ensuring coherence and scalability across the
wealth management ecosystem. Partner with senior stakeholders
across Operations, Finance, Technology, and business domains
globally to gather functional and business requirements, performing
detailed analysis to understand complex current-state and
target-state data flows, operating models, and platform landscapes.
Synthesize business and functional requirements into tangible,
technology-based solution proposals that are clearly understandable
to both business and technology audiences, bridging the gap between
strategic intent and technical execution. Identify and prioritize
high-impact AI use cases by analyzing business processes, client
journeys, and operational pain points, translating opportunities
into structured business requirements and measurable success
criteria. Build and maintain a comprehensive business function
inventory mapping capabilities to available platforms and
technologies, identifying gaps and opportunities for consolidation,
modernization, or AI-enabled transformation. Develop comprehensive
business cases for AI investments, articulating value propositions,
expected outcomes, dependencies, and success metrics to support
executive decision-making and funding prioritization. Design
future-state operating models that integrate agentic AI
capabilities into core wealth management processes—such as client
onboarding, portfolio advisory, lending, and servicing—while
ensuring seamless human-AI collaboration. Establish governance
frameworks and business guardrails for AI-enabled processes,
ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and
the bank's fiduciary responsibilities to clients. Facilitate
cross-functional workshops and design sessions to build shared
understanding, align stakeholders on business priorities, and drive
consensus on capability investments and sequencing. Provide regular
updates to senior management across Operations, Finance, and
Technology, communicating progress, risks, and strategic
recommendations with clarity and impact. Required Qualifications,
Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or certification on
software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience 5
years of experience or equivalent expertise in business
architecture, strategy consulting, or operating model design within
financial services, with demonstrated ability to drive large-scale
transformation initiatives. Deep domain knowledge of wealth
management, private banking, or asset management operations,
including client lifecycle, advisory processes, lending, and
investment platforms. Proven ability to translate business strategy
into actionable architecture artifacts, including capability
models, value stream maps, business process blueprints, and target
operating models. Advanced expertise in stakeholder management and
executive communication, with the ability to build alignment across
business and technology leadership and influence strategic
decision-making. Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their
business applications, with the ability to assess how emerging
technologies—including generative and agentic AI—can be leveraged
to drive business outcomes. Demonstrated proficiency in analytical
reasoning, systems thinking, and structured problem-solving, with
the ability to synthesize complex information and identify
actionable insights. Experience navigating regulatory, risk, and
compliance considerations in the design of new business
capabilities within financial services. Preferred Qualifications,
Capabilities, and Skills Experience leading business architecture
for AI-driven transformation programs in wealth management, private
banking, or highly regulated industries. Familiarity with agentic
AI architectures, generative AI, and responsible AI principles and
their implications for business model design and client experience.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF,
Zachman) and business architecture methodologies (e.g., BIZBOK,
capability-based planning). Experience with business ontologies,
semantic modeling, and knowledge graph concepts, including the
ability to define and structure business domains, entities, and
relationships that underpin AI systems and enable intelligent
automation. Understanding of data strategy, data governance, and
analytics capabilities as enablers of AI-powered business models.
Experience with client journey mapping, service design, and
human-centered design methodologies. Certifications in business
architecture, enterprise architecture, or related disciplines
(e.g., TOGAF, Certified Business Architect).
