Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a leader in environmental, energy, and industrial
services in North America, is seeking a committed and
safety-focused CDL Route Driver-Local to join our team. This role
is vital in helping us carry out our mission of protecting the
environment through responsible disposal and management of
hazardous waste, responding to emergency spills, and providing
high-quality industrial cleaning services. As a CDL Route Driver,
you will operate a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment,
engage directly with our customers, and play a critical role in
ensuring the safe and timely transportation of materials, all while
adhering to regulatory and company standards. Operate heavy-duty
trucks and maintain proper condition of all equipment. Ensure
timely pickup and delivery of hazardous wastes and other materials.
Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to all safety and
compliance standards. Maintain accurate and comprehensive logs and
records in accordance with DOT and company requirements. Handle and
manage receipts and paperwork associated with hazardous wastes.
Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall
efficiency and safety of the operations. Ability to operate a
variety of vehicle types and handle hazardous materials safely.
Strong navigation and route management abilities. Excellent
organizational and time management skills. Proficient in the use of
electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other industry-related tech
tools. Solid understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to
transportation and hazardous materials. Medical Insurance 401k
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker
endorsements. DOT medical certification. Clean driving record.
