Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Sr. Angular Developer with a proven technical expertise to join its Healthcare Practice. The selected candidate will support Agile Application Development technologies and capabilities in the areas of software development, integration, and test of software applications and infrastructure.

Candidate must pursue modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration, Specification by Example, Behavior / Test Driven Development - BDD, TDD) and respective tools, to become a part of a dynamic team located in Bloomfield, CT or Lafayette LA!

The candidate will have a good foundation with Java, J2EE platform Microservices architecture and documented experience in REST, Angular, React, Typescript, Node JS, Web Content Accessibility/USDS, UX, HTML5, CSS5 and SQL. Should be exposed to a broad range of technologies across all layers of architecture.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This Engineer will be a key contributor to our Digital practice and will have the below responsibilities:

Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.

Continuously improve software engineering practices

Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies.

Write unit tests and automated acceptance tests.

Collaborate with stakeholders, UX Designers, the build team and other development partners to implement state-of-the-art user experiences.

Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas and new technologies, and help to create innovative UI solutions.

Design and architect a modern, highly responsive user interface for a Microservices based web application.

Build reusable components and frontend libraries for future use.

Translating UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative solutions.

Design and develop solutions following established frameworks, application development standards and quality processes in projects.

Assess the impacts on technical design because of the changes in functional requirements.

Will work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team contributing and collaborating with the scrum team on a daily basis.

Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items).

Actively contribute to software development strategy and product roadmap specific to application development

Drive solution design thought leadership, for a customer -centric perspective

Ability to understand and translate business requirements into meaningful end to end solutions

Lead team in collaborative development of prototypes for demonstration of concepts

Understand functional specifications and use case designs.

Application Development Responsibilities to support and develop Fronted solutions.

Determines user requirement feasibility, supports solution design, project planning, establishes priorities and monitors progress

Implements technical changes to improve the team's effectiveness

Plan out system enhancement implementation roadmap

Resolve conflicting priority among projects and ad-hoc requests

Coordinates with team resources to integrate project with other applications and releases and ensure appropriate skillset alignment and staffing

Participate in and growing strategic partner relationships to support growing demands on the delivery organization

Guide development resources through migration to Agile development methodologies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

10+ years of proven software development experience developing enterprise solutions.

5+ years of Front-end development experience

5+ years proven development experience in frameworks such as Angular 8+, ReactJS, NodeJS,VueJS, Typescript, HTML, and CSS

Experience with reusable web component with Angular.

Experience in implementing the state management using NgRx.

Experience in integrating backend API's.

Experience in Nx framework.

Experience with RxJS

Experience with Nodejs and Express.

Experience in testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Cypress

Experience with GITLab/GitHub.

Experience working directly with UI/UX designers and understands the basics of UI/UX

Strong development expertise on client side, and UI and insights to backend.

Additional Pluses, but not requirements:

* Experience in Mono repo.
* Experience in Java, Spring boot.
* Experience in Domain Driven design & Microservice Architecture.
* Knowledge in DevOps processes, continuous integration and delivery pipelines
* Experience in Kubernetes.

Preferred qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

Primary Skills: Angular 10 or later, Node JS/Nest JS, Redux, Nx Framework, RxJs, Angular Material, NgRx

Secondary Skills: Spring boot Microservices, Monorepo Architecture, MongoDB, REDIS, , DB2

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - 161,600.
