Job Description









Clinical Trials Nurse - GI Medicine Exciting Opportunity at MSK: For a Clinical Trials Nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's with GI Medicine. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with a dedicated clinical research team, providing direct nursing care, conducting patient and study assessments, and offering education and support to patients and their families. Role Overview:

  • Work within Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model
  • Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
  • Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.Key Qualifications:
    • New York State RN license and BSN
    • Three years clinical Nursing experience
    • Oncology nursing experience preferred
    • Clinical research nursing experience preferred, but not vital
    • Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
    • BCLSCore Skills:

        • Hours: Full-time- Four x 10 hour days flexed Monday - Friday
