Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Part Time
Activities Assistant at Meadows plays a vital role in enhancing the
quality of life for our residents by organizing and facilitating
engaging recreational and social activities. This position focuses
on creating a positive and inclusive environment where participants
feel valued and motivated to participate. The assistant
collaborates closely with the activities director and other team
members to plan, set up, and execute a variety of programs tailored
to the residents interests and abilities. The schedule for this
position is from 9 AM - 5 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Every Other
Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) Minimum Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively and
compassionately with diverse populations. Basic organizational
skills and attention to detail. Availability to work hours as
scheduled. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in
recreational, educational, or caregiving settings. Familiarity with
activity planning and implementation for various age groups or
abilities. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and
patience. Previous experience supporting individuals with special
needs or in community programs. Responsibilities: Assist in
planning and preparing materials and spaces for daily activities
and events. Engage with participants to encourage involvement and
provide support during activities. Monitor participant safety and
well-being throughout activities, reporting any concerns promptly.
Collaborate with team members to adapt activities to meet diverse
needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of attendance and
activity outcomes as directed. Support the setup and cleanup of
activity areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
